Picardie glasses have been produced in France since 1939. For a long time they have not only been found in small French cafes. It is meanwhile the most famous bistro glass series and is not to be excluded from restaurants any more. The spread of the glass is not only due to the design, but also to the production. Tempered glass is very robust - almost unbreakable. But if it should shatter, it should only shatter into a thousand small, almost blunt splinters that offer little risk of injury.
