Ceramic coffee filter

The Cerapotta is a Japanese coffee filter made from Hasami ceramics. It may be hard to believe, as the Japanese are known for their delicious tea, but coffee has also been celebrated there since time immemorial. Hasami porcelain has been produced by hand in Nagasaki, Japan, for 400 years and has outstanding properties. The porous ceramic filters the water and thus the coffee flowing through it in a natural way, thus extracting the best taste from the coffee.

The handy filter has markings for 1 to 4 cups and comes with a holder that can be placed directly on cups or pots with a maximum opening diameter of 8.5 cm.

Coarsely ground coffee is poured in up to the desired mark and then boiling water is slowly poured over it. The coffee then seeps through the filter into the pot.
