When cutting bread, it is important to use the entire length of the blade, as the serrated edge is only effective if it is used over the entire length. Zigzag course, as it is often used, should be avoided, otherwise only the bread will be torn and not cut. Always cut on a wooden base or soft plastic board
The patented serrated edge is one of the revolutionary new developments from KAI. The waves of the blade run from the center of the knife in opposite direction inclined outwards. This means that the bread is not torn, but cut perfectly with every movement. This reduces the crumbling of the bread during slicing to a minimum
