Fermentation jar with weight 1.5lt
Into the jar: pickling and preserving healthy vegetables is all the rage. With the practical fermentation jar and the clever ferment vent system, sauerkraut, aromatic kimchi, tasty cucumbers or crunchy, sour carrots can be made quickly and safely.
The lid with ferment vent for easy ventilation of the jars during the fermentation process can also be used for storage in the fridge.
Fermenting:
The vegetables are mixed with salt and liquid is released. This mixture is placed in the fermentation jar and pressed down with a tamper so that there are no more air pockets. The vegetables must be completely covered with liquid. Before sealing, the vegetables are weighed down with a glass weight. Then close the jar with the lid and open the valve to allow the naturally occurring gases to escape. After a week, you can taste whether the fermented vegetables are already sufficiently aromatic.
