Corkscrew Bilame chrome

L'Atelier du Vin's Bilame corkscrew is one of the favourites of bartenders and sommeliers dealing with older bottles and has built up an excellent reputation over the years.

Thanks to the double-blade technique, old and brittle corks can be removed from the bottle and replaced without damage.

This is because the Bilame corkscrew does not use a screw mechanism, but a tentacle technique. It consists of two thin blade grippers which spread outwards elastically. If they are pushed into the bottle neck along the cork, the cork can be carefully pulled out without damaging or even crumbling.

Legend has it that it was the favourite tool of French bistro waiters, as the corkscrew allowed them to take a few sips from the bottle and put the cork back on the bottle unnoticed without anyone noticing.
